In this work, he finds that art of poetry, new dimensions defined in surprising moments (specially worth mentioning when we pay attention to the wide experience of Abreu, with more than 40 productions with his signature) and the use of stage elements such as space and light, which in this occasion are used with full intention in the final configuration and performance of the show. The profound identity of the 6 dancers, who draw Venere, wraps the result up and adds different touches to its interpretation that originates from the altruism with which the choreographer moves his 5 partners favouring their personalities on stage. Doing so, he highlights two more other distinctive characteristics of Venere. On the other, a new metaphor of the artistic wisdom this work breathes.

It still wanders in my mind, as I believe it still beats on the stage: Venere existed before we arrived to the theatre and keeps living after our departure.
There are shows that cannot be described, because no words can enclose them. Because the images, the textures or the heartbeat that happen on the stage are from a different type of idiomatic mixture.
Abreu is truly reaching an overwhelming state of creation and precision, both stylistic and poetic.

After the round of applause, the audience started to take their coats. One spectator in the sixth row looked to another. “Wonderful, isn´t it?”, he asked. “Fascinating”, the other one answered.

Daniel Abreu consolidates his stage poetry with Venere (…). Based on a sequence of scenes of pictorial nature, capable of generating atmospheres through the power of the images.

Like one loves and loves oneself through others. To talk about love from all the ideas of the substance.
The muscular contradiction, the contrary of each symbol. Poetic references to the symbols of love in history are made. But above all, it tries to answer, in a metaphoric way, the question what have I done to belong, to be?
