PRODUCTIONS ON TOUR – TRAVELLING
Creation and interpretation: Daniel Abreu Travelling could be understood as “the one who travels”. With that idea of movement, a body is shown that does not feel, that is cold in emotions and fast in its decisions, in its displacements. A figure whose expression is based on emptiness. The body is symbolically attached to a table and executes physical actions based on the idea of the Hindu God of War. The movement I use each time to keep on disguising myself with new eyes. “What is certain, what is correct, what is well done, what is thought through, what is meditated, what is learned, what doesn’t stumble, what everybody expects, what I want, what is valid, what always… the usual things, what one desires most, what one yearns for, what is important to me, what is important and what is not.” |
