THE COMPANY
The company’s line of work can be defined as the use of the performer’s physical tools and the different translations of the scenic image and the poetics of daily life, in order to maintain the spectator’s ability to experience a sense of surprise. The team is made up of performers with a strong physical vocabulary and an interest for research in integral body communication. The Daniel Abreu Company has realized over thirty works throughout its creative career, and regularly tours around Spain. Its works have been selected for the Circuito de Red de Teatros Alternativas four years in a row. Its pieces have been performed in the Museo Nacional Centro de Artes Reina Sofía, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, ARTIUM in Vitoria, Teatros del Canal in Madrid, as well as in Denmark, Brazil, Germany, Portugal, Poland, Croatia, the United Kingdom and Central America. In 2009, the Teatro Cuarta Pared, organized a retrospective of the company’s work and presented six of its productions. The Daniel Abreu Company receives regular support from the Auditorio de Tenerife, the Comunidad de Madrid and the Casa Encendida, in Madrid. | THE COMPANY
